About Kelley Bibb

Interior design began for Kelley from an early age.  As a child, she would spend hour upon hour reorganizing her room and the her family's kitchen, much to her mothers dismay.  "Design has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. From the time I was a young girl, every few months I felt the creative urge to create a new space.”

After years of working in the design field as a freelance interior designer and event planner, Kelley Bibb Design was established in 2014.  Kelley uses her experience and keen eye for design to create spaces and events that reflect the heart of her clients. By using basic design principles and thoughtful use of color and textures, Kelley believes each project, "should just feel right for my clients."

I am dedicated to creating spaces and events that are reflections of your life.  I go beyond trendy or traditional to create spaces that are stylish and classic, yet functional.  I believe one of the most important aspects of every project is not just making beautiful spaces, but helping each client make wise choices. I invest in my clients and love working closely with them to make sure the project is perfect. I want each of their spaces to reflect how beautiful the daily life that happens within it is. 


Design Process

Planning

I like to get to know clients and understand their vision for the space or event. In this phase I ask a number of relevant questions, inventory the current furnishings, and discuss a timeline and budget. In order to narrow down a style, I have clients look at look at pictures before our meeting. This can be through Pinterest, books, or magazines. We go through each image together and discuss what they like and do not like about each. Once we discover the style the client is desiring, I will work to develop a plan of action that puts the project on the right path for each unique design need.

If the client would like to consult an architect or hire other contractors, I will discuss this in this stage of planning. 

Design & Installation

In this phase I work closely with clients on furniture plans, color palettes, and finishes such as paint, flooring, cabinetry and countertops. When each detail has been decided on we move into installation. This is one of the most exciting times when the client begins to see their vision come true. I will manage contractors as they begin to install the new finishes and furnishings.

Project Completion

The big day has arrived! Now it is time for the client to kick back and enjoy their new space. On this day I do a final walk-through and discuss the care and maintenance of new furnishings.
